It’s rumored that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are once again dating, according to The Sun. “They’re back on,” a source told the UK outlet. “Katy wants to make things work this time around. She tried, but she couldn’t cut him off. She cares too much about him. This time, they’re keeping things low key—but they’re back together.”
To fans' excitement, the former couple was seen vacationing together in the Maldives in January, and was even photographed having lunch.
According to Elle, the two have also been all over each other’s Instagram photos, both liking and commenting on posts.
The couple first got together following the 2016 Golden Globes after party, where they were seen flirting. Afterward, they attended a few events including the Cannes Film Festival in 2016, vacationed in Italy, where Bloom was photographed paddleboarding in his birthday suit, and even went to a Hello Kitty theme park.
But Bloom and Perry split in February 2017. “Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand, we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time,” their reps told People at that time.
A few months later, in August, a source close to the couple told E!, “They have never cut communication since they broke up. They just took a break because it was the best thing for them at that time, [but they] are seeing each other again.” The insider added, “Katy and Orlando want this to work this time, so they are working on mending their relationship. They've had some really good talks and have a better understanding on their needs. Time will tell at this point, but [things are] looking very positive.”
