Marvel just dropped a music video for the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' song, "Inferno," and the David Hasselhoff feature is completely ridiculous.

The Guardians of the Galaxy movies are well-known for their soundtracks, with the vintage music in Star Lord's tape deck tied directly to his backstory. So it's only fitting that a music video for an original song from the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 soundtrack would be one of the most ridiculous, hilarious things you can imagine.

"Inferno," the disco-themed track from the recent movie's soundtrack, got a visual treatment straight out of the era it was inspired by. Just take a gander at this absurd transformation sequence, with faux aliens and a warp tunnel looming in the background.

But just when you might think the video is going to get too cheesy... okay, it actually got even more cheesy. But the gawd David Hasselhoff comes sauntering out from behind a barrier, and in all his sequined glory, begins seducing audiences around the known universe.

Eventually, for reasons that are not entirely clear to me, Hasselhoff transforms into a God-like figure, reminding viewers, "We. Are. Groot." as we are all folded into the Hasselhoff singularity.

But really, you should stop wasting your time watching these GIFs and reading this write-up, and feast your eyes on the full video up top. Look out for cameos from Stan Lee, Zoe Saldana, James Gunn, and other members of the Guardians universe.
