Jim Jones caught a lucky break.

The 42-year-old rapper copped a generous plea deal in a drugs- and weapons-related case out of Georgia. Jones was charged with five felonies and a misdemeanor in June 2018, following a car chase bust in which officers discovered weed, Oxycodone, Percocet, vape cartridges, cash, and two loaded guns inside the vehicle. Jones, who was in the car with three other individuals, told officers he had prescriptions for the Oxycodone and Percocet; no one admitted to owning the illegal drugs or firearms, so all the suspects were arrested. Jones was initially facing decades in prison.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the Dipset rapper avoided jail time, but got hit with a $1,500 fine and faces two years of probation. Three of the six charges—a felony drug charge and two felony counts of possession of a firearm—were also dropped; the remaining three will be dismissed if he manages to stay out of trouble throughout the probation period.

TMZ reports Jones is required to abstain from alcohol and drugs throughout his sentence while conducting regular check-ins with his probation officer.

Jones vaguely addressed the case during an appearance on The Angie Martinez Show last summer.

"I’ve been advised by my lawyer, I can't talk about the case,” he said. "What I can say is that, one of the things that concerned me the most was…I wanted to get home before my son woke up. So that I could speak to him before he seen it anywhere else, because my son is my partner."
