ASAP Rocky is, notably, a pretty motherfucker. But even when he's kitted out in something fresh off a Paris runway and a purse satchel, he is intimidated by Janelle Monáe's overwhelming aura. The Testing rapper noted the way that Django Jane can halt him in his tracks in a recent interview with Ebro Darden.

"Is Janelle Monae single?" he asked Ebro, before admitting that it wouldn't matter if she was. The ASAP Mob leader said that he was cowed by her presence. "Hopefully, man one day I'll be ready for a lady like her."

"She's so amazing and intellectually above all of us peasants," Darden said. "We can't even articulate the glow. We just fold up."

Rocky agreed.

"When I be meeting her, I just want to keep it very respectful," he said. "I can't even be a piece of shit ... She's precious."

Monae has made a point of keeping her love life out of the public eye. She's dodged inappropriate or overly personal questions like a well-oiled android, only revealing that she was pansexual when she felt the need to get personal on Dirty Computer

"Being a queer black woman in America,” she says, taking a breath as she comes out, “someone who has been in relationships with both men and women – I consider myself to be a free-ass motherfucker,” she said in an interview with Rolling Stone, leaving the details aside yet again and leaving Lord Flacko to wonder.

The occasion that spurred Rocky to stop by was Yams Day, his annual celebration of the late spirit guide of the ASAP Mob, ASAP Yams. So, Rocky spoke on that, also talking about the process behind some of his most-loved songs and sharing his predictions for the 2019 Grammys.

Surprisingly, he thinks Post Malone will take home the top prize. Rocky said that he fully expects beerbongs & bentleys to walk away with Album of the Year. Give a listen to his reasoning below:
