Why Some Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly Fans Are Calling the Beef Fake

Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly's diss tracks appear to share a common writer and producer, which has fans speculating this whole nasty beef could be a contrivance.

Some fans believe the feud between Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly isn’t real, and the explanation is pretty valid.

A few of Em and MGK’s diss tracks were produced by the same person, Ronald Spence Jr., also known as Ronny J. It’s been pointed out that Ronny J. is listed as a writer and producer on Eminem’s Kamikaze cuts “The Ringer” and “Not Alike” as well as being credited as a writer and producer on MGK’s diss “Rap Devil.”

The beef between Em and Machine Gun Kelly was reignited in late August, when Eminem dropped his surprise album Kamikaze, taking direct aim at MGK on the Royce da 5’9”-assisted “Not Alike.” A few days later, MGK returned with “Rap Devil," which debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking his first entry on the chart this year. In the U.S. it raked in 23.5 million streams and 36,000 downloads for the week ending Sept. 13.

MGK and Em’s rivalry seems to have started back in 2012 when MGK tweeted that he thought Eminem’s then-16-year-old daughter Hailie was “hot as fuck.” However, in a recent interview with Sway, Marshall revealed that while he wasn’t pleased about MGK’s comments about his child, that wasn’t the real reason he took a shot.

“The reason that I dissed him is because he got on—first he said, 'I'm the greatest rapper alive since my favorite rapper banned me from Shade 45,' or whatever he said, right? Like I'm trying to hinder his career. I don't give a fuck about your career. You think I actually fuckin' think about you? You know how many fuckin' rappers that are better than you? You're not even in the fuckin' conversation.”

Following that interview and Machine Gun Kelly’s “Rap Devil,” Em came back with the track “Kill Shot.”
