Nicki Minaj Allegedly Prohibited Future From Collaborating With Cardi B

Hollywood Unlock CEO claims Nicki threatened to kick Future off the NICKIHNDRXX Tour if he appeared on Cardi's "Drip" record.

Future has been dragged into the Nicki Minaj vs. Cardi B drama.

According to Hollywood Unlock’s Jason Lee, the Atlanta rapper was initially supposed to appear on Cardi’s “Drip” record rather than Migos. Lee claims Future’s assist never made the final Invasion of Privacy cut because Nicki gave him an ultimatum: Nix the collaboration or lose out on some coin.

“You heard the song ‘Drip’? […] Who is on that song?” Lee asked his co-hosts, who responded with “Migos.” “Guess who’s on there first? Future. Who’s touring with Nicki? Guess why Future ain’t on that song?”

Lee claimed Nicki threatened to drop future from the NICKIHNDRXX Tour if he signed off on the joint record, which is why he never appeared on the official version of “Drip.” However, Future did lend some bars to the “Drip” remix alongside Migos, Young Thug, and Hoodrich Pablo Juan earlier this summer.

Lee’s allegations clearly support Cardi’s claims that Nicki was using behind-the-scenes tactics to try to hold her back:

“I let you attempt to stop my bags, fuck up the way I eat,” Cardi wrote on Instagram following her physical altercation with Nicki earlier this month. “You've threaten [sic] other artists in the industry, told them if they work with me you'll stop fucking with them.”

Lee said he had a reference track to support his allegations. And, shortly after the broadcast, that reference track surfaced on social media.

Future, Cardi, and Nicki have yet to respond to Lee's statements.
