Kanye West and Lil Pump's surprise single "I Love It" has done remarkably well since it launched, breaking the record for biggest-ever global debut for a hip-hop video on YouTube. But now the song has achieved another feat thanks to its performance on streaming services during its first week, debuting at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100.
As Billboard reports, "I Love It" has arrived at the No. 1 spot on the Streaming Songs chart with 46.6 million U.S. streams during its first week. While it's not Pump's highest charting song on the Hot 100, it is his highest charting song on the Streaming Songs chart. "Gucci Gang" previously peaked at No. 3 on the Hot 100 and No. 2 on Streaming Songs. With 16,000 sold during its first week, it's also entered Digital Songs Sales at No. 9.
It's clear that all the memes helped propel the song, which debuted at the Kanye-directed Pornhub Awards, to the No. 6 spot. "I Love It" gives Kanye his highest charted single so far this year, with "Yikes" from Ye hitting the No. 8 spot back in June.
Unsurprisingly, Drake's unstoppable "In My Feelings" has just garnered its tenth week at the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100, meaning that he's yet again broken another record.
Thanks to all three of his No. 1 singles this year, "God's Plan," "Nice for What," and current No. 1 song "In My Feelings," Drizzy has no passed Usher for the most time at No. 1 in a single calendar year. Previously, Usher achieved the record back in 2004, remaining at No. 1 for an impressive 28 weeks.
