Police Reveal Person of Interest in XXXTentacion Shooting Death

Last week, Dedrick D. Williams was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, ultimately pleading not guilty to both. Now, authorities have announced a new person of interest.

A new person of interest has been identified in the Florida shooting death of XXXTentacion.

22-year-old Robert Allen was named by the Broward Sheriff's Office Wednesday, WPLG Newsreported. In surveillance footage captured via screenshot below, Allen is seen at the motorcycle shop "shortly before" XXXTentacion's estimated 3:30 p.m. local time arrival. Allen, authorities noted, was previously arrested back in 2016 on 22 counts of ID fraud.

Last week, Dedrick D. Williams was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Williams is alleged to have blocked XXXTentacion's car with an SUV before approaching him with another man. Both Williams and the alleged accomplice, authorities say, were armed at the time.

Earlier this week, attorney Mauricio Padilla pleaded Williams not guilty. "It's difficult when you're dealing with media cases because, as you know, they take on a life of their own nowadays with social media," he told reporters. "But we're really focused on trying this case in a court of law and not in the court of public opinion."

According to a separate report from TMZ Wednesday, an extensive search for "at least" two other suspects remains ongoing. Broward authorities are also said to be working closely with the U.S. Marshals Service in the investigation.

"XXXTentacion touched the lives of millions around the globe and will forever reside in the hearts of countless fans who listened to his music, attended his concerts, and felt the glow of his uncontainable, undeniable, and unique spirit," reps for XXXTentacion said in a statement released one day after his death.

At the time of his death, XXXTentacion was awaiting trial on charges including domestic battery by strangulation and aggravated battery of a pregnant woman.
