JAY-Z Addresses Secret Son Rumors on "Heard About Us"

Nothing is off limits for Beyoncé and JAY-Z on their surprise joint album 'Everything Is Love.' On "Heard About Us," Jay denies he's the father of aspiring rapper Rymir Satterthwaite.

Nothing is off limits for Beyoncé and JAY-Z on their surprise joint album Everything Is Love. In nine songs, the famously private couple opens up about everything from the Grammys to infidelity to Kanye to JAY allegedly turning down the Super Bowl 2018 Halftime Show. On the track “Heard About Us,” Hov takes a stab at another rumor about his alleged son Rymir Satterthwaite.

Here are the lyrics:

Billie Jean in his prime
For the thousand time, the kid ain't mine
Online they call me Dad, kiddingly
You're not supposed to take this Dad thing literally

As Genius points out, JAY completely shoots down rumors that he is Satterthwaite’s father by referencing Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean,” the most famous paternity denial in history. Satterthwaite first publicly claimed he was JAY’s son back in 2016, but the rumors resurfaced last month when Rymir’s mother told the Sun she hooked up with Hov in 1992 when she was just 16.

The aspiring rapper and his mother have attempted to get in contact with JAY since 2009, according to Genius, and claim the rapper has been avoiding their request for a paternity test. But judging by these lyrics, JAY seems pretty positive he’s not the father, which is apparently more than can be said for Drake. Happy Father's Day!

After years of rumors and waiting, the Carters finally dropped their joint album Everything Is Love on Saturday. The nine-track project was accompanied by a visual for their song “Apeshit,” filmed in the Louvre. Check out the video for "Apeshit" below.
