Drake's Mom on Rap Beefs: 'They're Too Grown Up for That'

With JAY-Z taking shots at Drake as well as Pusha T and Kanye West, Drizzy's mom Sandi Graham has chimed in with her thoughts on rap beefs.

Ever since Drake responded to Pusha-T's DAYTONA track "Infrared" with "Duppy Freestyle," it's been a little hectic for Aubrey, to say the least. Kanye West chimed in on Drake's comments on his most recent solo album ye, while JAY-Z also took a moment to diss Drizzy on his newly released collaborative album with Beyoncé, Everything Is Love. It's safe to say he's something of a target right now, and it seems as if Drake's mom Sandi Graham has had enough of it.

Speaking with TMZ, she said that the 6 God and all involved are "too grown up" for rap beef. When asked if she thinks Drake made the right choice by not responding to Pusha-T's scathing "Duppy Freestyle" response "The Story of Adidon," she didn't seem to think him moving on was a bad idea. "I believe he always makes the best decisions in the end," she explains.

Pusha-T mentioned Sandi in "The Story of Adidon," rapping, "Marriage is somethin' that Sandi never had." Many listeners pointed out that JAY-Z addresses Drake on the song "Boss" from Everything Is Love, too, criticizing the Toronto rapper for turning down his Tidal offer and partnering with Apple Music instead.

Drake has yet to respond to Pusha-T's "The Story of Adidon" or JAY-Z's verse on "Boss," but with how quiet he's been in the run-up to his forthcoming album Scorpion, which is due June 29, it seems unlikely we'll hear anything from him until the LP arrives later this month. DJ Akademiks did tease that Drake told him Scorpion would feature "answers," however.
