Beyoncé Brought Out J Balvin for “Mi Gente” at Coachella

The second weekend of "Beychella" included a few more surprises.

Beyoncé’s second weekend headlining Coachella brought some new wrinkles to the event fans have since christened “Beychella,” with the most notable addition being a cameo from J Balvin. While Bey performed a quick rendition of “Mi Gente” without the song's other stars during last week’s Coachella run, sections of the crowd erupted in cheers when the reggaeton singer joined Bey Saturday night.

Ok here is the J Balvin moment. The amount of times she’s said “where you at” 😭 pic.twitter.com/u39O4NIm9z

J Balvin, Beyoncé, and Willy William’s bilingual collaboration, released last September, spent seven weeks as the top single on Billboard's Latin Digital Songs chart. As a goodwill gesture, Bey announced the proceeds from her remixed version would go to hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico, Mexico, and other impacted areas.

Sartorially, Beyoncé swapped out her yellow sorority-themed outfit for an alternate pink version. While there was no video stream made available Saturday, Beyoncé's ever-vigilant “Beyhive” of fans took note of the performance highlights via Twitter and Instagram. Bey’s critically acclaimed set from Coachella’s initial weekend once again included appearances from Destiny’s Child, Solange, and Jay Z.
