Danny Brown Details New Album 'Atrocity Exhibition'

Danny Brown recently announced that he'll be releasing his first album on legendary English label Warp Records later this year, Atrocity Exhibition. With the release of the first single "When It Rain," Danny made it clear that he was returning to the scruffy and inventive aesthetic he nailed on his breakthrough album XXX, and in a new interview with Rolling Stone, he's confirming as such.

"With Old, I wanted to have those performance songs so I can play those shows," he told Rolling Stone. "That was what was a part of my world, doing festivals. Whereas this album is just my sound. This is Danny Brown." Speaking of the record, Danny says that album cost $70,000 to clear because of the samples featured on it. "A lot of people cheap. And that's why their music sounds cheap. I wanna make timeless stuff, so you're gonna have to spend a couple dollars."

The album is set to include production from the likes of Paul White, Evian Christ, Petite Noir, Black Milk, and Alchemist. The album will also feature appearances from B-Real of Cypress Hill, Kelela, Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, and Earl Sweatshirt. To coincide with the album, Danny will be setting off on tour next month before the album releases on September 30.
