In a new interview with The New York Times, DJ Khaled revealed that a major key in keeping his cool around Beyoncé is to keep quiet and know his role. "I’m very quiet," he said. "Every time I’ve ever seen her is when I’m with my brother Jay Z, and I just say, 'Hi,' and I look the other way so fast, and I kind of run."

Khaled is currently opening for Beyoncé on a select number of dates for her massive Formation World Tour, where he has been spotted hanging out backstage with his friend and now manager Jay Z. The two also have a new track with Future that will be on Khaled's forthcoming album, Major Key.

Considering Khaled's close ties to both Beyoncé and her husband, Jay Z, it's curious why he is so nervous around her. Also, as he put it, "I'm one of the greatest producers ever. And I’m also one of the greatest DJs ever. And I’m also one of the best executives ever." However, he explained the reason for his actions by noting, "I just don’t want to say nothing too much. I’m not messing that up." It seems even huge stars like Khaled get nervous in the presence of Queen Bey. He really shouldn't sweat it because we're sure Beyoncé has other things on her mind, like running an insanely successful tour and looking out for her adorable daughter, Blue Ivy, who is on the road with her.
