Drake and Chris Brown are apparently no longer enemies, as the two star artists were spotted in the studio together earlier this week. This follows their previous feud, which included an all-out brawl at a nightclub in 2012 and a tug-of-war love affair over Rihanna.

While Drake and Chris Brown were making up, Meek Mill put fellow MMG member Wale on blast for not supporting his upcoming album Dreams Worth More Than Money. According to Meek, Wale's lack of support has been an issue for a while now. Wale eventually responded to Meek's claims, though it seems like things still haven't been patched up yet between the two. Check out all that and more on What The Hell Just Happened In Music This Week?

Peter Rosenberg apologized to Chuck D after the two argued on and off Twitter recently.

Date: 7/7/2014

Chuck D has not shied away from his public criticism of Hot 97 in recent months, which all stem from his anger over the state of urban radio. Those criticisms eventually led to a Twitter argument between Chuck and Hot 97 radio personality Peter Rosenberg. Jay Electronica later chimed in, and said that Rosenberg needed to publicly apologize to Chuck D.

It looks like that apology came during Rosenberg's "The Realness" segment on Hot 97. During the clip, Rosenberg spoke about his connection to Chuck D's music, and apologized for using his "public voice to bring any disrespect towards him." He added that he feels regretful for his comments and that Chuck D is one of the main reasons he has such a passion for hip-hop.

Chuck D has since tweeted his response to the apology, saying that Rosenberg was never the real problem, but rather Hot 97 as a whole and how they handle urban radio. —Zach Frydenlund

Kendrick Lamar and Katy Perry are both facing separate copyright lawsuits.

Date: 7/7/2014

Katy Perry and Kendrick Lamar are reportedly facing separate copyright lawsuits due to certain samples they've used on their recent releases. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Katy is being sued by gospel singer Flame, who claims that his song "Joyful Noise" was allegedly illegally sampled in the making of Perry's "Dark Horse."

Meanwhile, Kendrick is being sued in California for improper sampling on his Section.80 track, "Keisha's Song." The plaintiff in this particular case is listed as Woolfsongs Limited, which is a company based out of the UK that handles the works of the platinum selling group, The Alan Parsons Project. The lawsuit claims that Kendrick used a sample of the song "Old and Wise" without proper consent.

Neither of the cases have been settled yet, though Kendrick and TDE did offer a settlement in their case, but it reportedly wasn't accepted. We'll update with more details when they become available. —Zach Frydenlund

Robin Thicke's controversial album Paula tanked in first-week sales.

Date: 7/9/2014

Robin Thicke's recent promo run for his new album Paula got pretty ugly for the 37-year-old singer, who not only named the project after his estranged wife Paula Patton, but also dedicated the whole album to her in hopes that she would take him back. Because that's the best way to convince a woman of your commitment after allegedly cheating on her.

His fans weren't buying his apology at store shelves, with Paula debuting this week at No. 9 with 24,000 copies sold. This compared to his release last year, Blurred Lines, which debuted at No. 1 with 177,000 copies sold. Granted, Thicke had his smash hit title-track to boost those sales. Still, this would be a good time to toss the saying "there is no such thing as bad publicity" out the window.

On a happier note, Trey Songz's new album Trigga debuted at No. 1 with 105,000 copies sold, which makes it his second consecutive album to top the charts. Chapter V sold 135,000 in its debut week two years ago. —Edwin Ortiz

Drake and Chris Brown surprised everyone and hit the studio together this week.

Date: 7/11/2014

Drake and Chris Brown's turbulent relationship seems to be on the mends, as last night the two were in the studio together. Tyga and some other members of his crew were also there as Drizzy and Breezy presumably worked on new music. Drake and Brown's beef stems back to their 2012 nightclub fight and both of their relationships with Rihanna.

No word yet on what the two were working on, but with Tyga there it could very well be the upcoming Fan of a Fan 2 project, or even Chris's upcoming album, X. Stay tuned for more details as they become available. —Zach Frydenlund
