Everyone has an opinion these days, and the Internet has become a facilitator for everyone to share their opinions with the public. However, nobody's opinion can be as honest as children. Children are still learning and developing on many different levels, and are not prejudiced by experience, allowing them to say what's on their mind and not hide the truth. With the goal of bringing the raw thoughts of children online, Complex Kids asks about the current topics of the day to get a broad spectrum of what kids perceive of pop culture.
In the inaugural episode of Complex Kids, children are asked their thoughts about rappers ranging from Jay Z and Kanye West to Lil B. They are also asked about the music they listen to on their way to school, and who their favorite female rappers are. The answers are adorable and often hilarious, sometimes unintentionally (like when a little girl tries to say "Nicki Minaj") but sometimes even with intended effect (yes, that little boy did say Justin Bieber is his favorite female rapper).
What is evident from the episode is that children these days have an eclectic taste in music and no matter how old a child is, he or she knows what's going in the music world. Watch the full clip above.
