Don’t interrupt Donald Trump when he’s in the middle of a good lie.

During an interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos in the Oval Office at the White House, Trump discussed how he plans on eventually turning over his financial statement to the Senate when he was interrupted by someone who can be heard coughing off-camera.

Pres. Trump says he “might” turn over his “financial statement” to Congress.

“I hope they get it, because it’s a fantastic financial statement,” he tells @GStephanopoulos in the Oval Office. https://t.co/8q0FwFD9qt pic.twitter.com/fw1tIc0vxO

Like a broken record, Trump repeated the phrase "fantastic financial statement" twice before demanding a do-over. "Let's do that over, he's coughing in the middle of my answer," he said before adding, "I don't like that, you know?"

Stephanopoulos was astute enough to point out in the moment that the person guilty in CoughGate was Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, who was kindly told by his boss, "If you’re going to cough, please leave the room. You just can’t, you just can’t cough." Because, you know, when the urge to cough hits, you still have enough time to escape a room.

This awkward interaction still found its way on Sunday's broadcast, which should be a point of contention for Trump because it shows him in a bad light, but he knows good TV, so if people are talking about this moment, they are paying attention to his interview. Therefore, he isn't going complain.
