The wealthiest man in the world can't ever be considered down, but Donald Trump is still kicking Jeff Bezos at a low point. The president decided to tweet about the Amazon founder's divorce, throwing in shots at his newspaper The Washington Post for good measure.

"So sorry to hear the news about Jeff Bozo being taken down by a competitor whose reporting, I understand, is far more accurate than the reporting in his lobbyist newspaper, the Amazon Washington Post," he wrote. "Hopefully the paper will soon be placed in better & more responsible hands!"

The competitor he mentioned is The National Enquirer. The gossip magazine published alleged texts between Bezos and his girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez after Bezos shared that he was getting a divorce. Given the Enquirer's reputation and the details of their expose, it's worth being skeptical about their report.

What isn't up for debate is the fact that Bezos is getting divorced from his longtime wife, novelist MacKenzie Bezos. Given that they had no pre-nuptial agreement and MacKenzie was instrumental in the founding of Amazon, it's almost certain that she will walk away with a massive cut of the family's fortune when it's all settled.
