After the official trailer dropped last week, David Letterman is getting ready to return to his talk show glory this week with the premiere of his brand new Netflix show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman—a very appropriate title given his first guest. Letterman's first interviewee since his retirement from late night in 2015 will be former president Barack Obama

Ahead of the episode's release, Netflix has put out an exclusive clip from the interview. Along with giving everyone a look at Letterman's legendary Santa beard, the roughly 50-second clip features Obama talking about showing off his "dad moves" on stage with his daughter Sasha and Prince months before the Purple One's untimely death in 2016. The humorous clip continues with Obama explaining that a father has to know to "stay in the pocket" and not get too carried away with dancing.

The interview, which took place in front of a live audience, was Obama's first talk-show appearance since leaving office. Anyone excited to see the hour-long conversation in its entirety will be able to stream the episode on Netflix this Friday. My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman series will also be including interviews with Jay Z, George Clooney, Malala Yousafzai, Tina Fey, and Howard Stern. Unlike most of Netflix's original programs, they will be released on a monthly basis from January 2018 to June 2018.
